At the moment, the Improve Foundation works together with UCMP Senegal, a federation of 30 missionary Health Care clinics in Senegal. These are clinics that help people who normally do not have access to health care. Almost all of these clinics are located in remote areas where poverty is prevalent. Most clinics try to make care accessible to the poorest by charging the lowest possible rates. At the moment there are only 3 dentists and 5 dental hygienists for the entire federation. Every trained dental professional can make a huge difference in this network. As a foundation, we want to raise grants for the training of 5 dental care professionals (2 dentists, 2 dental hygienists and 1 dental technician) per year. This is Daphnie Diouf, one of the students from the first batch. She started her training in August and was able to enter the second year straight away because of her previous training! We have found a main sponsor for this student. For €50 per month you can become one of the sponsors and give her the chance to become a dentist and make a huge positive impact in Senegal!
