Improve Foundation receives CBF recognition

|

As a foundation we recently received CBF recognition. Read more below what this means.

CBF (Central Bureau for Fundraising) is an organisation that supervises fundraising institutions. A foundation that has CBF recognition meets certain quality criteria and transparency standards. This recognition offers donors and supporters more confidence that their donations are spent responsibly.

What does CBF recognition mean?

  1. Transparency: CBF recognition means that the foundation is transparent about its financial management. This means that it provides insight into income and expenditure, so that donors can see how their contribution is used.
  2. Responsible spending: Recognized foundations spend their resources according to clear guidelines. This means that a significant portion of the donations actually benefit the goals for which they were set up.
  3. Quality standards: CBF sets stricter requirements for the quality of fundraising activities. This includes good communication, accountability and a professional approach to project implementation.
