The Improve Foundation is currently working with UMCP Senegal, a federation of 30 missionary Health Care clinics in Senegal. These are clinics that help people who normally do not have access to health care. Most clinics try to make care accessible to the poorest by charging the lowest possible rates. Every year, the doctors at these clinics conduct Medical Outreaches in the most remote areas where medical needs are extremely high. In order to provide dental assistance here, Improve would like to sponsor the materials required for this. The UMCP Senegal provides the local dentists who participate. Together with the students sponsored by Improve, they provide these dental outreaches.
The following materials are needed for the outreaches:
- 2 mobile dental chairs
- 1 mobile dental unit (with air, water and suction)
- Materials such as mirrors, carpules and extraction forceps
- Basic consumables such as anesthetics, gauze, gloves and disinfectants
Much of the materials mentioned above have been sponsored in 2024, allowing the first outreaches to already take place. To make this even more effective, your help can still make a difference. Will you help make aid possible where the need is greatest?
